Mesa
Verde Motel

In the historic town of Mancos, Colorado, Mesa Verde Motel is located just 7 miles from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park, right in the heart of the Southwest Four Corners area.

We’re situated on the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway just a short drive from the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and the world-class winter skiing of Telluride, conveniently close to Four Corners National Monument, year-round recreation and all the wonders of Southwest Colorado.

Meet The Owners

Mesa Verde Motel is a collaborative effort between two couples: Matt & Sonia Vincent, and Matt & Sally Dziedzic. (Yes, there are two Matts. We know it’s a little confusing.)

In 2011, Sonia and Sally were set up on a platonic blind date in Grand Cayman, where they both worked as nannies.

They became fast friends and frequently talked about someday starting a business together. When their time in Cayman came to a close, Sonia moved back to Colorado where she met her husband, Matt Vincent, and Sally moved to Canada where she met her husband, Matt Dziedzic.

Sonia and Sally remained close friends and eventually found themselves living a few houses down from one another in Durango, Colorado. This made the whole “someday starting a business together” dream a lot more feasible. When Sonia got the wild idea to buy the historic Mesa Verde Motel, it didn’t take much persuading to get the rest of the crew on board.

The team jumped head-first into the deep end and purchased Mesa Verde Motel in November of 2021. Since then, they’ve performed massive DIY renovations and completely rebranded the property. In 2022 an on-site coffee shop and cocktail lounge was added.

They hope their story will inspire others to follow their own crazy dreams and renovate historic motels with their best friends. Or just stay in historic motels with their best friends.

Either way, live your dream and thanks for following along!
